Python Developer – loves solving puzzles, algorithms, data science, and ideally also machine learning

Originally started as a hobby, the free blog has now turned into a professional visualization and analytics platform, with endless opportunities for growth and expansion. After great early traction with customers, we are now looking to expand our team with a: Python Developer.
Being part of a small team, you will have real impact on the success of the company. You’ll be working with and mentored by the founder and CEO, to further expand our Analytics portal with forecasting methods and predictive capabilities. You are responsible for development of these new analytic views and insights, solving some complex puzzles. Using a mix of science, to-be-acquired petroleum economics skills, maths/algorithmic work, and of course lots of python code.
We are a startup, building out our small but highly talented team. Other team members are our senior architect (backend, ETL part), COO/Sales, CEO/CTO, Marketing & Design, and a Growth-hacker. In addition to this role we are hiring a platform developer (Ruby on Rails).
We are looking for a smart, talented developer, with ideally at least 2-3 years python coding under his/her belt, with lots of passion for solving complex puzzles, and strong mathematical skills.

The founder and investors have decades of experience in developing advanced information systems, with a thorough understanding of the oil & gas industry. We are based in Rotterdam, at CIC in the Groothandelsgebouw, an inspiring work environment with dozens of other startups, right next to Rotterdam Central Station.
