In the Ultimate version of ShaleProfile Analytics it is possible to influence these projections by editing several parameters with which the future rig count & well/rig productivity is determined.
Click the button on the bottom-right to set it to full-screen.
This dashboard will be updated at least once a week, on Fridays before 3PM (CT) with the latest production and rig data.
An important question that many in the oil & gas industry are asking is how US shale is going to respond to changes in the number of rigs drilling horizontal wells, which is published by Baker Hughes on a weekly basis. This dashboard contains the historical horizontal rig count, and the projection visualizes what would happen if this number (as well as rig/well productivity) wouldn’t change.
The full version allows you to generate and save different scenarios about how the rig count may evolve in the coming months and years. It also uses historical data about drilling efficiency (how many wells a rig can drill in a month) and type curves that are county and time specific. The result of each scenario is a projection of oil & gas production from horizontal wells in all the major US tight basins through the end of the decade.
